Terry1 (2).jpg

Terry's intricate paintings have a unique realistic style, characterised by bold and bright colours. He works mostly with acrylics  on stretched canvas. His artistic career spans over 60 years, initially illustrating his architectural designs. In the 1980's he commenced a range of  landscapes, drawn from his work in Kakadu National Park and in the Kimberley. More recently he illustrated a number of villages from his travels in SW England, Dordogne Region of France and  Cinque Terre Region of Italy. Having worked in Northern Australia, his initial works were of the dramatic landscapes of Kalbarri, Kimberley & Kakadu. Recently he has concentrated on landscapes and seascapes of the SW of Western Australia and the Perth Region. Much of his art is about discovering and illustrating unusual features, natural or man-made, that enhance the landscape. He particularly enjoys illustrating bridges, beaches and villages, when they use natural materials to integrate with water and vegetation.

Terry, trading as Holton Art, is a member of the Armadale Society of Artists and has a website, https://holtcon.wixsite.com/holtonart, illustrating his most recent works
